TOPIC: DWELLING IN GOD'S HOUSE (II)

MEMORISE

For a day in the court is better than a thousand. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than dwell in the tents of wickedness (Psalm 84:10).

READ: Psalm 27:4

[4]. One thing I have desired of the Lord, that will I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in His temple.

EXPOSITION

Dwelling in God's house entails more than mere attendance. There must be a heartfelt dedication to His presence and work. Throughout Scripture, we see examples of people like David and Stephanas' household who exhibited firm commitment to God's house. Their lives were intertwined with the ministry, showing deep love for God.

As believers, we are called not to be mere spectators but active participants in God's house. When we immerse ourselves in His presence and service, our lives become enriched and fruitful. Just as a tree planted by the riverside flourishes, so are we when rooted in God's house. Our spiritual vitality and insight are nourished, enabling us to bear fruit even in old age.

Those addicted to God's house become vessels of His power and grace. The apostles experienced the Holy Spirit's is outpouring in the Upper Room. Besides, Paul diligently reasoned in the synagogues. This shows his addiction to God's house. Let us likewise cultivate a fervent devotion as we dwell in His presence.

PRAYER POINTS

1. May the zeal for Your house consume me, Oh Lord.

2. Lord, I desire always dwelling in Your presence; help me.

3. Grant the Church spirit of addiction to Your sanctuary, Oh Lord.
