EXPOSITION

In 3 John 1:2, we find a profound prayer from apostle John for the well-being of his beloved friend, Gaius. This prayer encompasses both physical and spiritual health and underscores the importance of holistic well-being in the Christian life. Just as God desires our souls to prosper, He also desires our bodies to be in good health. Wow!

Our health is a gift from God and it is essential to maintain it wisely. This includes not only physical health but also mental and emotional well-being. As followers of Christ, we are called to honour God with our bodies (1 Cor. 6:20) by making healthy choices and caring for ourselves in a way that reflects His glory. After all, they are gifts from our Creator, God.

Heed John's prayer in 3 John 1:2 and strive for balance in body, soul and spirit. Paul's prayer for believers' whole sanctification (1 Thess. 5:23) stresses the importance of wholeness in body, soul and spirit. May we align ourselves with God's will, to walk in divine health and vitality, as today commemorates World Cancer Day and International Day of Human Fraternity.

1. Pray for God's grace to maintain balance and wellness in every aspect of your life.

2. Ask the Lord to help you make wise choices that promote physical, mental and spiritual health.

3. Pray for CAC Medaiyese Region, our father in the Lord, the Regional Superintendent, and other officers at the various levels as led by the Spirit of God.
