TOPIC: EMBRACING UNITY IN DIVERSITY

MEMORISE
There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus (Galatians 3:28).

READ: Acts 17:26, 27
[26]. And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings,
[27]. so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us;

EXPOSITION
On this World Thinking Day, we reflect on the beautiful tapestry of humanity woven by the hands of our Creator. God's intentionality in crafting diverse cultures and peoples reveals His desire for unity amidst our differences. Just as each thread contributes to the richness of a tapestry, every nation, tribe, and tongue enriches the fabric of humanity.
As we contemplate our global interconnectedness, let us remember that our diversity is not a barrier but an invitation to seek God together. In Acts 17, Paul reminds us that God appointed the times and places for every nation, drawing us closer to Him. This unity in diversity is echoed in Galatians 3:28, where Paul emphasizes our oneness in Christ, transcending societal divisions.
On this year's World Thinking Day, let us join in prayer for a world filled with love and unity. As Psalm 133:1 reminds us, it is beautiful when God's people live together in harmony. Let us envision and make possible a world where love conquers hate and unity overcomes division.

PRAYER POINTS
1. Father, give us humility to embrace our differences and unite as Your children, with courage to break barriers.
2. Lord, give us compassionate hearts to understand others' experiences with solidarity and respect.
3. Gracious God, ignite in us a passion for peace and justice, to reconcile and build bridges in this divided world.
SUGGESTED HYMN FOR TODAY:
CAC GHB: 458
1. Lord, Thy word abideth,
And, our footsteps guideth;
Who its truth believeth
Light and joy receiveth.
2. When our foes are near us,
Then Thy word doth cheer us,
Word of consolation
Message of salvation.
3. When the storms are o'er us,
And dark clouds before us,
Then its light directeth.
And our way protecteth.
4. Who can tell the pleasure,
Who recount the treasure,
By Thy word imparted
To the simple-hearted?
5. Word of mercy, giving
Succour to the living;
Word of life, supplying
Comfort to the dying!
6. O that we, discerning
Its most holy learning,
Lord, may love and fear Thee,
Evermore be near Thee!
Amen.
