[9]. How can a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to Your word.
[10]. With my whole heart I have sought You;
Oh, let me not wander from Your commandments!
[11]. Your word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You.
[12]. Blessed are You, O Lord! Teach me Your statutes.
[14]. I have rejoiced in the way of Your testimonies, as much as in all riches.
[15]. I will meditate on Your precepts, and contemplate Your ways.

EXPOSITION
Is it possible to live in this world without sin? This age-long question prompts introspection. In today's dose of the Living Water, the psalmist considers the profound role of God's Word as an antidote to sin. He opens with a poignant query: "How can a young person stay on the path of purity?" The answer: diligently seeking God through His Word. The psalmist admits the transformative power of God's Word and urges us to treasure God's commands. God's Word illuminates our path and shields us from the snares of sin. It is not a mere set of rules but the source of deep joy and delight.
Regular meditation on the Bible fosters spiritual strength against sin's allurement. By internalising God's Word, we undergo change, aligning our desires with God's will. An unwavering commitment to the Scripture is the antidote to sin. It is the remedy for living a sin-free life. The Memory Scripture highlights the transformative power of God's Word when rooted in our hearts. How well do you earnestly pursue God through, and in His Word?
